BOOK ARTISTS
Meet authors, poets and illustrators who will be selling and signing their books all day in the upstairs of the UCC Church, in outdoor booths and in the Community Building. You’ll find books for children and adults: poetry and prose, hand-made books, biography, romance, spiritual, suspense, self-help, outdoor, history, humor, fiction, non-fiction, anthologies, memoir, mystery, thrillers, chillers and publishers of Minnesota writers. An autographed book makes a wonderful birthday or Christmas gift. Here’s your chance to do all of your gift shopping. You’ll find something for everyone on your list.
A poetry display by local poets will be back for the third year.
Six of the pieces on display will be judged as Works of Merit by well-known Brainerd poet, Doris Stengle and six will be chosen as Popular Choices on the day of the fair by vote of those attending.
Come, read and vote for your favorite poems between 10 am and 1:30 pm.
At 1:30 pm, in the UCC Church, you are invited to a poetry readingby poets who will be selling their books and poets who have submitted poems for the poetry display. During this time, the Works of Merit and Popular Choice poems will be announced and read. There will be no open mike poetry readings
